Smartphone Use Guidance Experiences of Parents of Elementary School Students

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand smartphone use guidance experiences parents elementary school students.Methods: Qualitative data were collected from 10 students through individual in-depth interview January 2022 February 2022. Collected analyzed using the Colaizzi’s phenomenological method.Results: following four categories derived interviews: ‘Ambivalence on children's use’, ‘Limitations competence’, ‘Strategy for guidance’, and ‘New insights challenges’.Conclusion: This confirmed that experiencing insight growth in process constantly thinking, trying new strategies, struggling while guiding their children’s use. Parental education students' should include comprehensive contents could check awareness principles useful enable effective tailored child's developmental characteristics.
